The film follows Michael Afton (Hutcherson), a security guard who starts working at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a family pizzeria with animatronic characters that entertain the guests during the day and roam the halls at night. Michael quickly learns that the animatronics are possessed by the spirits of murdered children and that they are out for blood.
