In the not-too-distant future, the last two men on Earth, Billy (Mark Duplass) and Ray (Sterling K. Brown), must adapt and evolve to save humanity. They live in a geodesic dome that is their own self-sustaining ecosystem, complete with a hydroponic garden and a fishpond.
One day, Billy discovers that the fish are dying. He and Ray must work together to figure out what is wrong and save the fish, which are essential to their survival. As they work together, they also begin to confront their own personal issues and learn more about each other.
